Welcome to Sentry Haus German Shepherd Dogs.

  We are a small breeder of West German Seiger bred GSD dogs located in Illinois right near Hannibal, Missouri.  Our dogs live in the house with us and go where we go. We raise only the best West German bred dogs that we can afford.  All puppies get started in house training, crate and the outdoor kennels around 6 weeks of age.  By the time they end up leaving for their new forever homes they are well adjusted and ready for the new "pack".

  Our interest is in Schutzhund training and titling our dogs.  German Shepherds need a job and a place in the pack.   Dogs are pack animals and fit well with people when they are trained properly.   Consistancy and routine are so important in house training.  Your puppy will respond greatly with praise and positive re-enforcement.   This is how I train and they learn quickly when the trainer is trained right.   There is no bad dog, just a bad or "lacking" trainer.

    Growing up in Minnesota across from a Kennel with German Shepherds is where my passion for this lovely breed began.  When I turned sixteen I bought my first pup with $500 which was an incredible amount of money for a kid to save in those days.    I have owned numerous American Bloodlines and eight years ago I purchased my first West German Shepherd so I am familiar with both Bloodlines, but my preference is the West German Shepherd Dog.  My husband has really come to appreciate the breed and we both agree, they are smart, loyal, loads of energy that doesn't quit and they make great guards for the home and family.
